Spotlight on Natalie Rubinger, DDS, Western University
Last week, Natalie Rubinger learned that she was one of three students from across Canada selected to receive dentalcorp’s Academic Excellence Award. Each year, one graduating student from each of dentistry, dental hygiene, and dental assisting programs from accredited institutions receives full program tuition reimbursement and a position in a dentalcorp practice.
Natalie is graduating from Western University’s Doctor of Dental Surgery program. She shared with us her thoughts upon being selected: “I am extremely grateful to be welcomed into the dentalcorp team and I am looking forward to all the amazing opportunities available to me,” said Rubinger. “Receiving this award means I can continue to learn and set new goals to work towards in my profession. It is an honor to be recognized and acknowledged by dentalcorp for this achievement.”
Natalie’s career goals include a focus on giving back and helping people overcome roadblocks to oral health: “I hope to be able to help people overcome their fears of dentistry and provide the best patient care I can.” Eventually, she plans to travel overseas to provide care where it’s most needed. “Being able to give back in a meaningful way is important to me, and I think being a part of dentalcorp's team will definitely help me get there one day.”
The dentalcorp Academic Excellence Award is an annual program available to all graduating students of Canadian accredited universities or colleges who are majoring in dental assisting, dental hygiene, or dentistry. Students can apply for the 2022 award beginning January 4th, 2022 at acadamicexcellenceaward.com.
