About Dr. Katz
Dr. Kevin Katz is an Infectious Disease specialist, Medical Director of Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) at North York General Hospital, Head of Microbiology at Sunnybrook Hospital and an Associate Professor in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology at the University of Toronto. He has served on provincial IPAC best practices committees for many years, and has co-authored a number of the Provincial Infectious Diseases Advisory Committee best practices guidelines.
His special research interests include healthcare acquired infections and patient safety. Dr. Katz is the Chief Medical Officer of Practice Health Check, an innovative company that provides on-site infection control assessments to ensure clinics are adhering to best practices and college guidelines.
